Yes, I kept the beads on the entire rest of the time. I guess now's a good time to list the things people guessed I was. Nearly everybody thought I was a skunk, because of the colors, but other guesses were a mouse(either because of the pointy nose or the ears, this is Mickey Mouse town), a bunny(again, ears), a coyote(well that's new), a wolf(close), and Santa Clause(WHAT??? Must be the facial hair that fooled that toddler). I'm considering either just calling myself a furry black beast instead of a fox, or changing characters altogether. This Halloween, I'm considering being an Amish lion, if I can gather the materials.

(UPDATE from following year: I was indeed an Amish lion the following Halloween, and that's my real beard in those photos.)
